It has been said, “If the church aims to hit sin it should pull the trigger.” In our ultra politically correct world, it has become taboo to point out sins from Scripture. It is interesting how many folks will have their “pet” sins that they feel aren’t so bad, but when a sermon or lesson is given on such sins they usually respond with anger. Many people don’t care what the Bible has to say about certain sins they “feel” are ok because they are enjoyable and thus they become intolerant of those who hold a biblical view. What does all this mean for the church? If we are going to claim that we believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, then we must believe it from cover to cover. Thus when sin is pointed out we must take a stand for calling it what it is. This is a true test a faith for the believer in the ever declining culture we live in, but churches today need to be ready to stand for truth!
